Mandy Chandler

Mandy is the newbie to the VIP Hospital. Originally from a small rural town in southern Illinois she has called Paducah, KY her home for the last 15 years. She fell in love with the small town feel and is now a proud “y’all” saying Kentuckian. From a very young age, she developed a love for all animals. Often, jokingly, called “Elly May” because her family knew if any stray animal came into the yard she would present an argument as to why she should be able to keep and care for it. Her most bizarre and prized find was a pheasant she named Herman.

She knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field; she just wasn’t sure exactly what it would be. After dabbling in human nursing, she decided that the medical administrative field was exactly what she wanted to do. Mandy attended WKCTC and Mid-Continent University with a focus in Business Administration. Working at VIP has given her the opportunity to combine both business administration and nursing while she has been dubbed “nurse in training”. She enjoys observing procedures and learning about all the different aspects there are to veterinary care.

Mandy is a “momma” of two and she spends most of her free time with her kiddos outside playing in the yard, at the local library or exploring the downtown area. They, also, love traveling to South Carolina to visit family. While the beaches are beautiful, she enjoys a cool fall mountain day.  Mandy, thoroughly, enjoys a hot cup of coffee and a good book snuggled up with her cats Lucy (a VIP rescue) and Rue (a big ole’ goofy girl).

Stop in and say Hi to Mandy at the front desk and let her make you an appointment for your furry friends!
