Markesha Jones
Markesha is vibrant 28 year old member of the VIP team. She was drawn towards all types of little creatures growing up and has always had a huge heart for animals. Since graduating from the Veterinary Technician Institute of Houston in 2017 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing and Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, Markesha has been gaining invaluable on-the-job knowledge and experience.
Originally from Wisconsin or "up-north", Markesha made her way out of the big city lights to the serene country life she loves. She enjoys spending time outside, hiking, or just lying under a big ol' tree, rain or shine. Surrounded by her menagerie of beloved pets, she enjoys making art, crocheting, and ceramics. Her hobbies her passions she will never lose. Markesha has a big family of nine animals that she takes care of daily. Her oldest child named Ruca Ru is an 11 year old lab mix that has been by her side since she was just a few weeks old. Siren Rae is a six year old American Bully that came to Markesha after he was born with congenital defects making him a special needs pup. Zazu Lou is her six year old Doberman Pinscher and she is sweet as can be with but has some anxiety to match her mama’s. Then there is Zuri Dee, her two year old, three-legged “mini” pitbull, that is beyond in love with Markesha's sister. Finally, her feline love, Boogie, is a one year old, fluffy, grey-haired, rescue cat that grabbed her heart never let go. Of course having grown up with animals of all kinds....including birds, she continued with that side of animal husbandry as well. Markesha has has three beautiful cockatiels the oldest, Sunny, is a 7 year old, and his two brothers, who are actually real brothers, Nube and Noches, are two years. All three keep the house full of lively chatter and sweet calls.

Markesha is a fear-free certified Veterinary Assistant bringing specific expertise to her patients and loves to help educate her clients on how we manage all of our anxious and scared patients. She helps make sure our team is doing all that we can to provide the least stressful visit possible. She feels reducing patient anxiety and fear allows our entire team to do a better and more thorough job meaning better outcomes and experiences at VIP.
