Since my first update, things in the business world continue to move like molasses. The only way I could make things move more slowly would be if I wanted them to slow down. It seems the result of wishing for time to speed up or slow down is always the inverse of the wish. However, the ball has really started rolling these past few days. The architect came back with the first rough draft based on my crude hand drawing with guidance from a veterinary architecture handbook and it is so weird to see the basic outline on paper!!!! Of course I immediately had 1,000 changes and recommendations, but that's just the nature of the beast. He was very receptive to my thoughts, which I provided pretty quickly so now I'm back to waiting for the second draft. Many times big advances happen all at once, in a big flurry, and then the next week has nothing to offer.
The site itself still hasn't changed much at all, although we did install a temporary vinyl banner that just has the VIP name, logo, and labeled with "future home of" across the top. Believe it or not, that simple banner is getting a lot of buzz...(and gossip). I've even had people stop and take pictures! Also, as I sit here and write this blog, thinking about how Spring is here, I just realized I'm going to have to mow TWO yards this season! I could consider hiring a lawn service...but if you know me, having someone else mow my grass would be like sharing your toothbrush with someone else. Not ideal.
At any rate, during the time when I haven't been working online or at the emergency clinic in Carbondale, I have been able to line up the majority of my business ducks quite thoroughly...and that preparation is currently providing abundant returns. Ideas are becoming reality and the stars are aligning rapidly. I wish I could say more and didn't have to be so vague, but at the moment, details must kept close the cuff! I really appreciate the support and encouragement everyone has sent my way, it means the world to me, truly! Almost daily I receive messages wondering where I'm at, and where I will be, but mostly....WHEN will I be there?! Just stay tuned, y'all, stay tuned! We're only getting started!
Take care now, bye bye then,
Dr. Jones
